VILLAGE OF WHEELING

TELECOMMUNICATOR

The Village of Wheeling Police Department seeks qualified applicants for the position of Telecommunicator to:

• Receive calls
• Relay messages
• Dispatch public safety personnel
• Perform related duties for a multi-jurisdictional 9-1-1 center 

The center is a 24/7 operation, expectation of working all shifts including weekends and holidays. 

Qualifications:

• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent 
• Fluent bi-lingual candidates desirable
• Accurately type at least 40 wpm
• Previous experience preferred
