Salary:

• Starting: $57,000 - $71,000

  Wages correspond to total service time as full-time certified police officer in Illinois up to step 5 of current FOP contract

Position Details

Qualifications:

• Permanent, legal resident of the United States.
• Must be a certified Police Officer (Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board).
• Actively employed as full-time officer by law enforcement agency for at least 2 years and within the last 12 months.
• Binocular vision correctable to 20/20.
• Valid Illinois Drivers license.
• High School diploma or equivalent and 60 hours of college coursework.
• Ability to meet job related physical requirements.
• Residency within 20 miles of the DeKalb County Courthouse by end of probation.
