NOTICE OF EXAMINATION FOR LAKE ZURICH POLICE OFFICER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Lake Zurich, Lake County, Illinois, ("Board") will conduct an examination for the purpose of providing an Eligibility Register of the persons qualified to be appointed to the position of Police Officer for the Village of Lake Zurich, Lake County, Illinois.

To be eligible for appointment as a police officer, an applicant must meet the requirements established by state law and the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Lake Zurich, Lake County, Illinois.

Applicants will be contacted with their assigned time once their application has been received. Should the number of applicants exceed our ability to comply with social distancing requirements and gathering restrictions, a second testing date may be added in October, 2020.

Morning Session

• Check in – 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
• Orientation – 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
• Written Test – 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

Afternoon Session

• Check in – 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Orientation – 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Written Test – 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

*Applicants that have 3-years full-time experience in a properly constituted police department/law enforcement agency and are currently certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standard Board may request a waiver from participating in the following elements of the examination process: Orientation and Physical Agility as provided in 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6. Such request for waiver must be submitted in writing with the appropriate supporting documents to the secretary of the Board prior to the examination element.
