The Plainfield Police Commission

will be accepting applications for the position of

Police Officer for the Village of Plainfield

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 (At Time of Application)

• Must be a United States Citizen

• Must be a resident of the State of Illinois for one (1) year prior to application date

• Must be between the ages of 21 - 34 years, unless otherwise exempt

• Must be of good moral turpitude

• Must possess a valid Illinois Drivers License

• Must have an associate's degree in Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice from an accredited Illinois community college or a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.  Individuals who have graduated from high school and are currently certified as successfully completed the minimum standards basic law enforcement training course as provided in the Illinois Police Training Act may also be considered for appointment.

HIRING PROCESS INCLUDES:

Mandatory Orientation, Written Examination, Physical Agility, Oral Interview, Background Investigation, Polygraph and Psychological Examinations, and Medical Examination.
