Police Officer Minimum Requirements:

• $50.00 non-refundable application fee;
• U.S. Citizenship or Legal Resident;
• Valid driver’s license;
• *21 to under 35 years of age at application deadline (10/23/19);
• Valid Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER) AND Ladder Climb Certification issued by November 23, 2019. POWER test cards and Ladder Climb Certifications are considered valid if issued within 11/23/18 – 11/23/19;
• Must not have been convicted of a felony or certain misdemeanors, as defined by Statute;
• As a condition of employment, applicants must reside within the boundaries of the following counties within the state of Illinois: Cook, DuPage, Will, Kane, Lake and McHenry;
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) AND one of the following:
• Successfully completed 30 hours of Law Enforcement Studies at an accredited college or university,
• Successfully completed 60 hours of General Studies/Associates Degree at an accredited college or university,
• Minimum of two (2) years of full-time employment as a certified Peace Officer 

Orientation & Testing Information:

Candidates must attend the mandatory orientation and written examination in the morning on:

Saturday, November 23, 2019

Testing will be held in Berwyn, IL.
