Safe School Security Supervisor: School Safety, Security, and Training Program

Yorkville CUSD 115 has openings for two Safe School Security Supervisors.

Responsible for providing leadership and oversight to security and safety services for the school campus and protecting the life and wellbeing of students, staff, and visitors.

The Safe School Security Supervisor will:

• Have successfully completed training and is responsible for the supervision of the District 115 Safe School Security Officers; leading the department in the protection of life and property, crime prevention, general school policy enforcement as directed, and training for students and staff as directed by the administration.
• Perform routine patrols of school facilities and work closely with the Safe School Security Officers to ensure schools are secure both during the regular school day, and at events occurring outside normal school hours.
• Have to demonstrate effective and proactive communication, manage and evaluate the growth, development and effectiveness of Safe School Security Officers, and exhibit the ability to develop positive and professional relationships with students and staff to assist in the performance of their duties. 

Additionally, it will be expected that this position be responsible for the planning, implementation and review of all emergency management training and drills for District 115, and to provide ongoing recommendations to the administration for increased safety and security protocols/procedures.

Reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools
